At first i thought today would be another boring day...
eating, sleeping, tv and mass...that's why my increasing weight becomes an issue...hahhahaha..
anyway, augustine left for sydney with the other EMYFers at about 4 plus this morning and their plane took off at bout 6 plus...=p...can't believe i'm missing this trip...nah...everything happens for a reason...=)
after mass, i checked my phone to find Xin had suggested we go out for lunch of smtg to discuss plans for his tutoring sessions next year..he'll be my mentor...hahahha...kinda scary ...having to teach students seeing that i will still be one in uni.. instead of lunch we just went out for gelato since he had to meet up with his other frens and i had already eaten lunch..=p..
the great thing bout Xin is that he's such a wise fellow..he's earning tons of money writing reports on the economic field at his tender age of 24...(not exactly sure bout his age..it's about there)..(he reveals that he writes reports that cost his clients about and average of $10,000...what the!?!?!?might i remind everyone that it's PER REPORT!) successful in work is one thing to admire about but his most admirable attribute is his ambitious vision to make an impact in the world...even through his tutoring centre!!(trying to touch on human development...for example getting our generation to love learning and how to learn so that this individual can succeed in all aspects of life..he uses the quote "give a man a fish, feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, feed a man for a lifetime"...) he's a relatively young christian (president of EMYF i might add) and already he's planning big things for his community and the world...
best thing is i can't believe i have the privilege to know him and that he's a friend of mine!!hope he won't find out how terrible i am at explaining things...hahahah...need to learn before my weakness shows...
oh ya!!had a lovely passionfruit yogurt gelato...yum....*smack lips..too bad the shop we went to was doomed to be closed soon...smtg bout business being not so good...well...glenferrie's like that i think...i guess the old shops need to make way for new ones due to it's student dominated vicinity...
after Xin brought me home, followed my mum to send out catalogues to neighbouring houses...it's supposed to be augustine's job but he's bored of it AND he's in sydney anyway...but the job's kind of a rip off anyway...but it's a nice walk though...=)
tomorrow, goin out with Karen for lunch and then we're gonna visit Joon Hui..i'm kinda nervous actually...i really loathe being helpless in the presence of someone who's in pain or suffering...it really is heart wrenching...
anyway, today was a mind opening day...although i already know it, xin confirms my most obvious weakness..ofcourse that's for me to keep a secret..(not gonna reveal to the entire world my flaw!!=P)..not playing the blame game but i know it's cause and like he said...
"Like in Newtons 3rd law, whatever that can be proven scientifically has a cause(action) and effect(reaction)*laughs...however, in life it's significantly different. There is a cause and effect but in between there's also the choices in life...one person can react to a tragedy by getting all depressed but another individual who experiences EXACTLY the SAME situation can rise up from his haunches and be empowered by his mistakes and learn from it...it's the choices that we make that determine which direction we take..."
Another interesting thing he said was "Why can we all walk?As babies we keep on trying regardless of the people around us...falling a MILLION times, we strive until we reach successfully pick up our tiny feet, taking those milestone steps in our lives...As adults, we unfortunately encounter the meaning of 'embarrassment' and 'fear'.no longer the daredevils when we are children, we find ourselves fearful of making mistakes...that's what draws the line between somebody immensely successful and one who's not...It's a cycle...Good decisions stems from experience.Experience originates from bad decisions. Bad decisions comes from mistakes...so the MORE we make mistakes, the MORE we are equipped with the knowledge and experience to make GOOD JUDGEMENTS...therefore success...a simple concept yet we all struggle with it..."
A lot to take in right? it takes so much strength and courage to accept the truth about ourselves and absosball these ways to improve on them...but it's takes even more to transform this information into action....

inspiration
Delta goodrem...powerful, strong, beautiful and she just got engaged!!
listen to her songs...it's empowering..
In this life is my favourite so far!!but all her songs are great..
"In This Life"
I was nurtured I was sheltered
I was curious and young
I was searching for that something
Trying to find it on the run
Oh and just when I stopped looking
I saw just how far I'd come
In this life
In this life
You give me love
You give me light
Show me everything that's been happening
I've opened up my eyes
I'm following
Three steps fight an honest fight
Two hearts that can start a fire
One love is all I need
In this life
I have faltered I have stumbled
I have found my feet again
I've been angry I've been shaken
Found a new place to begin
My persistence to make a difference
Has led me safe into your hands
In this life
In this life
[Chorus]
I was put here for a reason
I was born into this world
And I'm living and I'm believing
That I was meant to be your girl
In this life
[Chorus]

another day..
i just received a letter confirming that i got the interview for the architecture course at RMIT .i'm happy but.....they've set my interview on the 5th even after i emailed to request for a change to 7th way before i even received my acceptance letter...
i think i'd have to cancel my sydney trip....noooooo!!! thing is..i don't even know if i'm going to venture into this course..grr....was looking forward to this christian convention...
sadly my dad left for kch this afternoon as he had some urgetn office matter to attend to...grrr..again....he could have gone back with us on the 9th AND stop by in kl with us as well.*sobs...
Is any of you still in that career dilemma stage?hahahha...
still blur...
if only i could 'steer' well....
by Missy Higgins...
Feel it falling off like clothing
Taste it rolling on your tongue
See the lights above you glowing
Oh and breathe them deep into your lungs
It was always simple, not hidden hard
You've been pulling at the strings playing puppeteer for kings
And you've had enough
But the search ends here
Where the night is totally clear
And your heart is fierce
So now you finally know that you control where you go
You can steer
So hold this feeling like a newborn
Of freedom surging through your veins
You have opened up a new door
So bring on the wind, fire and rain
It was always simple, not hidden hard
You've been played at a game called remembering your name
And you stuffed it up
But the search ends here
Where the night is totally clear
And your heart is fierce
So now you finally know that you control where you go
You can steer
'Cos you've been listening for answers
But the city screams and all your dreams go unheard
But the search ends here
Where the night is totally clear
And your heart is fierce
So now you finally know that you control where you go
You can steer
Year get out of the box and step into the clear
'Cos now you finally know you can steer

Back From the Dead...MUAHAHHAHHA..
3 August 2004 | This NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope image reveals a pair of half a light-year long interstellar 'twisters', eerie twisted funnel structures, in the heart of the Lagoon Nebula (M8
our magnificent Sun...
Galaxies are actually found to be positioned in a necklace like position!not randomly as previously assumed...hehehe...blog died temporarily....
now it's post VCE and i cant wait to go back home to kch...
well...i'm just so freaked out bout what my results are gonna be...
17th of Dec...4 am malaysian time...ahhh....guess i'll have to wait...
can't wait to go to sydney in the 2nd tho..woohoo!!!youth convention AND it's the 1st time i'll be in sydney...
NATALIE GAUCI WON!!love her style of singing...ofcourse matt is spectacular as well but i think this is her big break...matt has already been exposed to the music industry..so he'll be getting record labels eventhough he's the runner up...carl's so good too!!but as he's not as good a singer compared to nat and matt he was sadly voted off...hiya...wished that all three of them could win though...
can't wait to watch "Across the universe"...all i know is that this movie was moulded around 33 songs sung by The Beatles and that the producer's other works include The Lion King!
last friday, was at youth watching this documentary on the universe....we're just this tiny, itsy bitsy insignificant speck on Earth which is microscopic speck in the milky Way galaxy which is a one in the billions of galaxies in the universe..Then what goes beyond that???what's beyond those billions and billions of stars and galaxies?
First, the documentary explored if there would be a probability that other "Earths" would exist in other galaxies?come to think of it,taking into account the existence of probabilty, there would be a chance of complex life in other galaxies but it would be slim... Why?there are many factors that need to be taken into account for such as the size of the star in the solar system, the distance away from the star, the position of the planet in the galaxy...oh my goodness...there's so much to take in....our Earth is so privileged as it's location in the universe was as if we were accurately (miraculously come to think of it)positioned such that complex life existed AND that scientific discoveries could be made due to our position in a non gaseous part of the milky way...
The most important thing is that we humans were made by an intelligent being that brilliantly moulded the Earth in such a way that we could explore the universe beyond the boundaries of Earth AND COMPREHEND + UNDERSTAND the workings of stars or planets a billion light years away!It just goes to show how much truth there is in the words of the Bible which stated that God made us humans in his own image....with the inclusion of his intelligence...it's not being arrogant and committing blasphemy but the truth.....Think about it...It just gave me goosebumps and threw me into deep thought about how this world really ticks...

A memorable 3rd of August....=)
Our school's annual music concert was set for 7.30 that night.First we had to have the rehearsal at Hamer Hall that morning which was exhausting yet enjoyable...
First before we left the school premises,we had a role call to ensure everyone was present...turns out, Shery wasn't at school that morning. Although she had woken up early that morning, she didn't come to school..we all presumed she skipped school and well....Jayne wasn't too pleased..(she claimed that Shery had not been practising for Senior strings so she might be skipping the rehearsal due to certain intentions)...Jayne was fuming tho...=p
during the bus ride...seems like sjane and I were just plain bored...however we took some pictures and engulfed ourselves in our Lodge days...*sigh....
The National Gallery of Victoria...I love this art gallery...had the privilege to explore this place years ago...btw,...i think i took a pretty ok pic ei?=p...
Mr. Blazejzach was quite stressed that morning as some some senior choir students were totally blur about the words to the songs that we were suppose to sing that night...we even came in at the wrong cue...hahahha... can u believe that?hehehe...we seemed so screwed but...we went on... The orchestra was terrific tho!(Thank God...i swear Mr. Blazejzach was about to explode from the pressure)
hahaha...during our rehearsal, coincidentally, we, the five asians were standing in a row AND we were positioned in the middle of the group...=) Go ASIANS!=p
went back home early that day...2.30pm...so we could prepare ourselves for the night...
At about 4 plus, went online to find Jeremiah who was apparently stressing bout his formal shirt cause he gave it a wash....in the washing machine...which is not a very good combination seeing that it was an Armani shirt...=p...anyway,since i had to go to the city,i decided to go early to check his so called "jiao jiao" shirt...
On the way to the city i had the opportunity to witnessed a sad sight....At one bus stop, this blind man was tapping the side of the bus(at hearing the bus screeching to a stop,he must have known the bus was there).then he struggled to find the entrance by using his blind stick to assist him...the bus driver shouted direction to ensure he could get up the steps of the bus...then he cautiously climbed into the bus...the bus driver helpfully asked where he would like to stop and offered him as much assistance as possible...when we arrived at his desired stop i had to watch him, painstakingly plus a heavy heart, get off the bus and even worse, my eyes tailed his fragile body move as he tapped around so that he could get to the corner of the street where he wanted to cross the street!my gaze just happened to land on the bus driver's where he nodded and gave me the "you see?how strong this man is?" look...must be tough having to drift and wander round the city without the gift of sight...we are lucky arent we?but God has his reasons....

Didn't take a picture of the poor guy but this picture that i found on the Internet reminded me of him....he had frizzly white hair and was wearing spectacles of dark lenses...
was caught in a traffic jam while in the bus at the city...driven by fears of being late, i sorta ran to Tian's place so that he could take me to Jeremiah's...silly me...Both Jeremah and Tian were laughing at my school uniform...=p...Jeremiah's exact words were,''Sorry ah, but your uniform is quite ugly la!".....=p...Anyway,Jeremiah looked fine!!with Tian's advice on how to do his hair and how to straighten out his suit as well as his tie, he came out of the toilet looking the best he could...had a chat with them before jeremiah went to congregate all his friends at the lobby to wait for their taxi..

after all Tian's advice and personal touches to his look, Jeremiah's ready to make his big entrance at the formal!=p
Took a picture with some of the choir girls before we went to watch the concert while we waited for our turn on the stage..All of them sang perfectly that night...=)

Made it to Hammer Hall in time but being as stupid as i was, i went strolling round the place with Shery cause i couldn't find the choir members...who were actually already on stage!!!=p...luckily i bumped into Mr. Blazejzach who must have been pretty mad but he told me curteously that the choir members were already stationed on the stage...hahahha....

well the magical and enchanting night went on smoothly...the music and the singing performances were spectacular...the unexpected highlight of the night was that Jayne receiving an outstanding ovation from the audience as well as the entire female student body....she was awarded a specially made pair of music batons for her services as music captain 2007...Mr. Blazejzach seemed to be choking on tears when he made the presentation although i wasnt sure..hmmm...but Jayne did!!it was tears of joy!everyone was so proud of her...
I technically missed the bus home that night!!!it scared the living daylights out of me!Fortunately there were two bus routes that went thru Belmore road and therefore i just had to wait a little longer for the other bus...*whew...
got back at about 10.50pm..what a tiring day...but it was a nice day....one to remember...
One compact with laughter, tears(it was like deja vu of the Joseph musical....*sigh...Good times...),friendship,music,morality check and happiness....
