Religious Class..

i love my religious classes!!!we always get to talk about daily or international issues or just chat and gossip...every religious session a pair of students would have to do a reflection on something.. today's was about life.Rosie and Cecil prepared today's reflection...they played a song by Switchfoot to remind us and trigger our minds to think about our present life and reevaluate our lives as well as our goals... What i want to highlight is the movie that we watched (in 3 periods) ending today. The movie's called 'The Emperor's Club'...Watch it...it's really an eye opener! here are a few striking and really life impacting quotes which i thought i would like to share...
  • A man's character is his fate
  • Aristophanes once wrote, roughly translated; "Youth ages, immaturity is outgrown, ignorance can be educated, and drunkenness sobered, but STUPID lasts forever."
  • The worth of a life is not determined by a single failure or a solitary success
  • The waters in which we found ourselves swimming, were precisely as lovely as those we had earlier only imagined. But if time had made concessions for love, it made none for death
  • Not to know what happened before you were born is to be forever a child
These are a few funny scenes in the movie...hehe... Louis Masoudi was running on the grass (unknowingly i think..) and the teacher Mr. Hundert called him. William Hundert: Excuse me?
Louis Masoudi: Huh? What me?
William Hundert: Yes, sir. What is your name?
Louis Masoudi: Uh, Louis.
William Hundert
: Just Louis?
Louis Masoudi: Louis Masoudi, sir.
William Hundert: Mr. Masoudi, could you define the word "path" for me?
Louis Masoudi: Well, there are several definitions, I suppose.
William Hundert
: Would "a route along which someone or something moves" be among them?
Louis Masoudi: Yeah. Oh, yeah. No. Yeah.(silence) (Mr. Hundert fake coughs ,raises his eyebrow and hints to the grass.)
Oh yeah. I'm s-sorry, sir.
William Hundert
: Follow the path, Mr. Masoudi. Walk where the great men before you have walked.
Louis Masoudi
: Yes, sir. It's, uh - It's better for the grass.
William Hundert
: It's better for you. ______________________________________________________________________ William Hundert: [discussing 44 specific emperors] Can you name any of them?
Sedgewick Bell: I can name 7.
William Hundert: Go ahead...
Sedgewick Bell: Grump, Sleepy, Sneezy, Doc...
William Hundert
: Seriously, do you know any of them?
Sedgewick Bell: I can name 4.
William Hundert: Go ahead.
Sedgewick Bell: [in an English accent, counting off his fingers] John, Paul, Ringo [closes all but the middle finger]
Sedgewick Bell
: and George.

=)

hehe...i remember yesterday during physics class when our Physics teacher,Mr.Servello was teaching us about bending and strain energy...he asked if anyone had a long plastic ruler..Sjane, with the best of intentions offered her ruler amongst a few others.Mr. Servello picked someone from the front row who had offered her ruler but it wasn't the flexible one. So Sjane bended her ruler to test it's flexibility...As our class was coincidentally talking bout fracturing materials and elasticity limits, her 'test' resulted in her snapping her ruler in half..hahahahah!!!

Sjane, u crack me up...

Straight lines...

"Straight Lines"
by Silverchair

Breathing from a hole in my lung
I had no one
But faces in front of me
Racing through the void in my head
To find traces of a good luck academy

Sparks ignite and trade them for thought
About no one
And nothing in particular
Washed the sickened socket and drove
Resent nothing
There's good will inside of me

Wake me up lower the fever
Walking in a straight line
Set me on fire in the evening
Everything will be fine
Waking up strong in the morning
Walking in a straight line
Lately I'm a desperate believer
But walking in a straight line

Something I will never forget
I felt desperate
And stuck to the marrow
Invisible to everyone else
I'm a sex change
And a damsel with no heroine

Wake me up lower the fever
Walking in a straight line
Set me on fire in the evening
Everything will be fine
Waking up strong in the morning
Walking in a straight line
Lately I'm a desperate believer
But walking in a straight line

I don't need no time to say
There's no changing yesterday
If we keep talking and
I keep walking in straight lines

Wake me up lower the fever
Walking in a straight line
Set me on fire in the evening
Everything will be fine
Waking up strong in the morning
Walking in a straight line
Lately I'm a desperate believer
But walking in a straight line

Didn't know that Silverchair is of Australian origin...just a little fact...

Stressed..

freaking physics and specialist math is getting on my nerves...till the point where i just end up sitting down in my room looking at my blank piece of paper on which SHOULD be filled with calculations and workings..

...because....i DON"T KNOW HOW TO DO IT!

well, i then end up walking all so frequently in and out of my room..looking for food/snacks to eat to release my stress but it seems like all those snacks not only increase the fat content of my body,it didn't even calm my nerves one bit...it just gave me something to chew on instead of my fingers and prevents my from actually violently grabbing my hair and riping it of my scalp...

confidence is on the all time low and not only that...the pressures of outside interference unfortunately made stress levels skyrocket to the stratosphere...=p..

anyway, choir, kind teachers, kind friends(esp SJANE who calmed me down today..THANKS!),my dear old mum and the all-so-relaxing music are my life safers...so all i can do is wait for that stupid tests to be over,..

well..mid year exams are coming up...joy...
